Nobody Gives A Flying Flip About Bain

Is it me... or what?  But the 2012 campaign season is in full bloom... yet all we voters are being bombarded with is stuff that has NOTHING to do with how we are going to survive and save America.

In all due respect Mr. President, the majority of Americans, Black, white, Hispanic and other.... want you to know this:

Nobody gives a flying flip when, what day, year or month... or under what circumstances Mitt exited Bain Capital! Give that argument a rest, as it will not change the stature one iota for the countless citizens who are trying to go to work... or who are currently looking for jobs, and can't find one TODAY!

Neither do the masses in this country care if Mitt releases his tax returns for 1 year or 25 years.  We all know he is a Kazillionaire––and guess what? Most folks in America (especially those who play the State lotteries everyday, or who go to the casinos with their last lucky dollar, or the ones who gamble it all by starting small businesses in hopes of being the next Mr. Buffett) would give their eye teeth just to be a mere millionaire like you and Michelle... and Mitt and Ann.

No. As long as Romney didn't get his money from raping our national tax coffers... so what! Big deal. That's his money... that's his business.  Ain't nobody mad at him!

And, another thing. No one cares if Mitt parks his wealth in Swiss accounts, German banks or in a Timbuktu hole-in-the ground.  What inquiring minds want to know is what he will do to assure that U.S. banks will remain solvent and that loans and other capital will be made available for our kids and grandkids' future.

And finally... Mr. President. Tell your campaign staff:  So what if Mitt Romney, during his tenure as Governor of Massachusetts signed a State law allowing its citizens healthcare coverage that their State lawmakers and taxpayers agreed would be best for their State.  That was that "State's" prerogative.  The operative word here is STATE!

But for you, Mr. President, and the Congress to mandate a national tax–– under the title of Affordable Care Act... a/k/a Obamacare––that now forces all Americans to purchase healthcare... and this new tax will be enforced by the Federal government... encroaches on State's rights. The American people are up in arms about it, as they don't want to be told what they have to buy in a free democracy

So... when you combine all the above––along with the fact that your campaign team fails to tell us how you deserve four more years as CEO––that is what will more than likely cost you the White House come November.

Obama Proposes 'Amnesty-Lite' By Executive Order

Hispanic youth
In what critics are calling a Friday in-your-face, and shameless-political-pandering, President Barack Obama's new Immigration policy has seemingly backed Gov. Mitt Romney into a corner.

The GOP nominee––whose blunt statements on immigration during the contentious 2012 Republican primary helped earn him the label of being anti-immigration––can't afford to cede the Latino and Hispanic vote to Obama this Fall... if he plans to win the White House.

Romney, who earlier in the year gave a Tampa audience a peek into what his immigration stance would be during a GOP debate when he said:

“The answer is self-deportation, which is [where] people decide they can do better by going home because they can’t find work here, because they don't have legal documentation to allow them to work here.  [But] we’re not going to round them up.”
Contrasted to Obama's new immigration policy, which the President outlined during a surprise press conference, where he said that younger illegal immigrants who came to the country before they turned 16, but who are under 30 now, and have stayed out of trouble, have a high school education or served in the military can receive a two year work permit that can be renewed indefinitely.

The President's new amnesty-like executive order is strikingly resemblant to the one proposed by Senator Marco Rubio (who is reportedly on Romney's short-list for the Vice Presidential slot) and puts the GOP hopeful in quite a political pickle.

Appearing undaunted by the President's actions, Romney's campaign staff issued the following counter statement in an attempt to rebuff the President's new position:

“I believe the status of young people who come here through no fault of their own is an important matter to be considered and should be solved on a long-term basis, so they know what their future would be in this country. I think the action that the president took today makes it more difficult to reach that long-term solution because an executive order is, of course, just a short-term matter – it can be reversed by subsequent presidents. I’d like to see legislation that deals with this issue, and I happen to agree with Marco Rubio as he looked at this issue. He said that this is an important matter, that we have to find a long-term solution, but that the president’s action makes reaching a long-term solution more difficult. If I’m president, we’ll do our very best to have that kind of long-term solution that provides certainty and clarity for the people who come into this country through no fault of their own by virtue of the action of their parents.”  Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/mitt-romney-ignore-obama-new-immigration-policy-2012-6#ixzz1xthfW1CC

Pass the popcorn and the goji berries.  It's about to get real hot around here....

Romney Camp Outraise The Obama Camp In May

If the old saying: "money is the mother's milk of politics" has any merit, then last week's Romney vs Obama money duel is a clear indication of how this 2012 presidential election will go down.

It was reported that GOP nominee, Gov. Romney and the GOP raised more than $76 million last month––compared to President Obama and the DNC's paltry $60 million. Read more:

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/06/11/new-threats-to-obama-reelection-bid/#ixzz1xUvXQfI4

That's a 16 MILLION DOLLAR spread in just one month!  Not to mention how the Gov. Scott Walker Wisconsin recall massacre showed how Republicans and Tea Party supporters contributed and outspent the opposition 7-to-1 in that race.

So, let me compare recent news items while calculating some math equations for the record here:

The Jews have shut their purses to Obama because of his Muslim-leaning policies against Israel, while  Romney has picked up an unprecedented 29% of Jewish vote.

"Republican Jewish Coalition pointed out that the 29 percent of Jewish voters who back Romney is the “highest level of Jewish support for a Republican presidential candidate in 24 years.” http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/jewish_descent_Tq5gaFbS13Pdbfwdx2UJkJ#ixzz1xV15fh7K

Wall Street residents are turning to Romney in record numbers, as many feel he will be more business-friendly and implement economically feasible growth-stimulating practices than the Obama administration.
Wall Street ditches Obama, backs Romney.  Headline 5/29/2012 money.cnn.com/2012/05/29

Well now... that brings us to one of the largest voting blocs in the Democratic party: Black people and Brown people [African Americans and Hispanics].

Gone are the days of those $25 dollar-per-week donations in 2008 to the Obama campaign. With unemployment at close to 20% among Black people and around 11% for Hispanics... these two groups are in survival mode... just trying to keep gas in the cars and food on the table.
http://washingtoninformer.com/index.php/us/item/11078-in-jobless-numbers-obama-gets-black-and-brown-bruises

And... quiet as it's been kept... there won't be any more billions of dollars coming in from many of those leaders who  *wink-wink*, nod-nodded their support for the black brother in 2008 (i.e. Muammar Gaddafi, Hosni Mubarak, Assad and others).

No... I can't envision those deposed leaders' supporters from the Middle East who––as it has been rumored and widely reported on–– funneled money to the Obama campaign using gift cards, credit cards and other such vehicles to assure his election. They won't be too eager to contribute again this year. Read:

So... I can see how it's quite possible that a 16 MILLION DOLLAR donation gap has occurred between the Romney and Obama camps.

From my vantage point, and substantiated by these documented calculations, this funding deficit for the President may be his new normal through out this election cycle.

Enquiring minds will be looking!

Badda Bing... Badda Boom!! Romney Test-Drives Rubio

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)                Governor Mitt Romney

Well... it looks as if the presumptive GOP Presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, recently did his first test-drive of a potential Vice Presidential running mate in Pennsylvania. And, from all indications, the feedback on the ground has been overall positive.

Introducir SeƱor Marco Rubio (R-FL).

http://news.yahoo.com/romney-campaigns-potential-vp-pick-rubio-155543646.html

Badda-bing! Badda Boom!! Bring Rubio out early... see how the American voters will receive yet another minority male in a major leadership position in this country. Put training wheels on Rubio for eight years as Veep, and then let him make history as the first Cuban-American president in 2020.  Smart move on Romney's part.

Because realistically, adding a regular, standard White man to his ticket is a no-value-add, dead in the water, definite formula for an automatic Romney defeat this Fall.

The odds are on Rubio, a charismatic Cuban-American, to draw enough Mexican-Cuban-Hispanic-Latino-Spanish-Americans to the Republican tent to offset the Black vote President Obama is banking on securing.  If I were a betting woman, I'd say Rubio––who has the right telegenic look, youthful energy, the proper ethnicity,  and enough excitement and fire-in-his-belly necessary–– just maybe able to pull this off.

Plus... it seems as if even the stars are lining up in Romney/Rubio's favor as well, especially with the current enmity between Blacks and Hispanics over the recent George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin brouhaha. Blacks... along with the main stream media's demonizing of a fellow Hispanic was NOT a winning strategy in a closely contested election year.

So, if Romney plays his cards right... his placement of Rubio on the ticket gives other 'White Hispanics' (as Zimmerman has been dubbed)–– many who are angry over the rush-to-judgment manner in which President Obama, Black leaders, and the Democratic party have handled this situation––an excuse to leave a party that has made too many undelivered promises to them, and vote for a kindred "White Hispanic": Rubio.

And, not to mention the big elephant in the room of course is location, location, location: FLORIDA.  As the newly elected Senator from a coveted Southern state, Rubio will make a very attractive addition to this year's ticket... if he can get past the natural born citizenship argument.  (Oops, President Obama has already made that a sticky issue and a moot argument for any questionable candidate... for years to come, huh?)

Indeed... if Rubio (with the help of Jeb Bush and his Spanish-wife) can deliver those 29 electoral votes from the State of Florida in November, Romney may be able to pull off the biggest upset since the hanging and dimpled chads election of 2000!

President Obama Chimes In On Trayvon Martin Killing UPDATE: NEW DETAILS EMERGE SURROUNDING THIS CASE. EYEWITNESS SAW IT ALL!!!

UPDATE:  An eyewitness, who allegedly saw the entire incident has come forth with details that support Zimmerman's claim.

http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/dpp/news/state/witness-martin-attacked-zimmerman-03232012

As tensions and anger continue to rise in the aftermath of the killing of Florida youth, Trayvon Martin, President Barack Obama, chimed in on the tragedy.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/23/obama-trayvon-martin_n_1375083.html?1332513416&icid=maing-grid7|main5|dl1|sec1_lnk2%26pLid%3D146021

The death of this 17-year old black teen has ignited a nationwide fuse.  Young Martin was gunned down by a zealous, Spanish-speaking minority neighborhood watchman––who has yet to be held accountable for the slaying–– and could pit two of the President's major minority cultures against each other.

Yes, it's true that the President, while slow to jump into the fray and comment on the matter, really had no other choice but to weigh in on this explosive issue.  Pressure was mounting for Obama to say something, as many in the African American community were voicing strong vexations against him for not using his bully pulpit in support of this cause in the same manner which he came out to support Ms. Sandra Fluke, a white woman, in her recent contraception controversy in February.

As the President of all the citizens of this nation, Obama will need to walk gingerly as this controversy plays out, and may not want to wade into this fray any further. That may be difficult because as a black man, and the first African American President, he should know how Blacks––particularly black males–– and the law have continued enmity... and been quicker on his game.

I look for President Obama to make some visible overtures and meaningful concessions to the black community for his brazen oversight of coming out the gate on this so slow––since he has basically ignored them for the bulk of his three years in office–– lest he risk losing this needed base in his re-election bid.

But in the President's defense... perhaps because he did not grow up in a black neighborhood, but was raised by, and hung out with white folks all his life... he may not truly have understood the severity and seriousness of this teen's killing because he had no Black reference point as a teen growing up in Hawaii.

But... the President did step in and hopefully his comments can help tamp down what could spiral into 1970's-style disorder in America. It's always better late... than never.
