Nobody Gives A Flying Flip About Bain




Is it me... or what?  But the 2012 campaign season is in full bloom... yet all we voters are being bombarded with is stuff that has NOTHING to do with how we are going to survive and save America.  

In all due respect Mr. President, the majority of Americans, Black, white, Hispanic and other.... want you to know this:

Nobody gives a flying flip when, what day, year or month... or under what circumstances Mitt exited Bain Capital! Give that argument a rest, as it will not change the stature one iota for the countless citizens who are trying to go to work... or who are currently looking for jobs, and can't find one TODAY! 

Neither do the masses in this country care if Mitt releases his tax returns for 1 year or 25 years.  We all know he is a Kazillionaire––and guess what? Most folks in America (especially those who play the State lotteries everyday, or who go to the casinos with their last lucky dollar, or the ones who gamble it all by starting small businesses in hopes of being the next Mr. Buffett) would give their eye teeth just to be a mere millionaire like you and Michelle... and Mitt and Ann.  

No. As long as Romney didn't get his money from raping our national tax coffers... so what! Big deal. That's his money... that's his business.  Ain't nobody mad at him!

And, another thing. No one cares if Mitt parks his wealth in Swiss accounts, German banks or in a Timbuktu hole-in-the ground.  What inquiring minds want to know is what he will do to assure that U.S. banks will remain solvent and that loans and other capital will be made available for our kids and grandkids' future.

And finally... Mr. President. Tell your campaign staff:  So what if Mitt Romney, during his tenure as Governor of Massachusetts signed a State law allowing its citizens healthcare coverage that their State lawmakers and taxpayers agreed would be best for their State.  That was that "State's" prerogative.  The operative word here is STATE!

But for you, Mr. President, and the Congress to mandate a national tax–– under the title of Affordable Care Act... a/k/a Obamacare––that now forces all Americans to purchase healthcare... and this new tax will be enforced by the Federal government... encroaches on State's rights. The American people are up in arms about it, as they don't want to be told what they have to buy in a free democracy  

So... when you combine all the above––along with the fact that your campaign team fails to tell us how you deserve four more years as CEO––that is what will more than likely cost you the White House come November.

Obama Care Ain't Going Nowhere!

Americans may as well begin wrapping their minds around this reality: the Affordable Care Act––which has been defined by the Chief Supreme Court Justice John Roberts as a "tax"... and a/k/a Obamacare––is here to stay!!

Although many voters are angry at the recent Court ruling, and are revved up and vowing to show their discontent with this law via the voting booth this Fall.  The general mood in breadbasket America which is motivating Independents, Tea Party members and thousands in the Republican party by the droves is:
If Obama wins a second term, ObamaCare will go into effect, and it will be nearly impossible to reverse it in 2016 or later.  Ed Morrissey, HotAir.com July 2


Indeed, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has vowed to repeal it on day one of his administration. Speaking on the day of the historic ruling, Romney made it clear:   
"What the Court did not do on its last day in session, I will do on my first day if elected President of the United States."   Presidential nominee Mitt Romney
But, as reality sets in... the fact is that repealing Obamacare at this juncture looks slim-to-none .

Let's face it... as various popular parts of Obamacare is implemented, i.e. folks with pre-existing conditions could qualify for catastrophic health insurance coverage; parents being able to carry adult children on their insurance through age 26... will make for a tough fight to repeal or reverse it.

Not holding my breath on this one.  Nope. I think Obamacare or some form of 'Romneycare', (as both these healthcare laws are kissing cousins) is the new normal in America. And the sooner we get use to it... the better!

SCOTUS Slaps 'Obamacare' Ball BACK To Voters' Court: 132 Days

The Supreme Court Justices' 6-3 decision on the constitutionality of President Obama's signature piece: the Universal Healthcare Act... a/k/a Obamacare has the potential to galvanize Americans in a way not seen since Roe v Wade.  

In a nutshell, the Justices, led by Chief Justice John Roberts have rendered a modern day "Pontius Pilate" decision, by saying in essence: "If you voters want to crucify Obamacare, do it on your own... it's not my job"!    

And when you think about it...and whether you like it or not... that decision is the correct one.  In a true democracy, the Congress and the President should be the only ones to repeal it, not the  judiciary branch.

So... the Obamacare ball has been lobbed to the voter's court.  And, in approximately 132 days, voters will have the chance to make the "will of the people" known by either voting to keep President Obama in office and let Obamacare stand... or voting to elect Gov. Mitt Romney, along with a majority GOP Congress and Senate, in hopes that Romney will keep his pledge to repeal Obamacare on his first day in office.






The countdown has officially begun.

Is It Time To Batten Down The Hatches, Brothers And Sisters

The recent news of Moody's downgrade of fifteen global banks will more than likely put the brakes big-time on small business borrowing!  This downgrade announcement could not come at a worse time with lenders such as Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup Inc., and Goldman Sachs among those affected.


Downgrades generally mean higher borrowing costs for the riskier banks.

Of course not to be on the Chicken-little-sky-is-falling bandwagon... but let's not be naive either. This move may prove to be especially worrisome as it comes at a time when the U.S. economy teeter-totters on the verge of another possible recession.  

The upside so far seems to be that the markets are shrugging off the announcement. According to  George Strickland of the Thornburg Investment Management Inc.:


"...the worst-case scenario for downgrades was already reflected in securities prices. If anything, the market is reacting with relief,” said Strickland, who helps oversee $14 billion of fixed-income assets as a managing director at Santa Fe, New Mexico-based Thornburg.  Morgan Stanley bonds likely will rally, said Strickland, whose firm owns the bank’s debt.
“The market is shrugging it off.”

Okay... it sounds good that those big investors don't seem to be worried... but just how will this downgrade impact lending to many of the "mom-n-pop" companies, who are currently afraid to expand, hire or make any bold moves right now until they know the outcome of Obamacare and how it will impact their businesses?

So...before we shrug-off this news prematurely... I say we "Batten down the hatches", brothers and sisters, and see how long and bumpy this economic ride will be... and where we will end up when its over!!!

RomBama: Both Grew Up With Silver Spoons By My Standards

With America going to hell in a hand basket... what's with all the kerfuffle in the news of late regarding which candidate: Governor Mitt Romney or President Barack Obama grew up the most privileged... or had the longest or shortest silver spoon in their mouths?  

Talk about 'distraction'.  From my vantage point and by anybody's standards, they have both lived... and continue to live better than most Americans. 

Let's do the comparisons.  

Both are pretty boys who have gotten over in life as a result of their good looks.  (check)  [they kinda look alike if you ask me]


Neither one of them have ever lived one day in the 'hood or in poverty: Mitt reared in upper crust Bloomfield Hills, MI; Obama raised in exotic Hawaii.  (check)  [can we say bourgeois lifestyles all of their lives???]


Mitt and Obama were educated at Universities that most kids in America can't get into... can't afford... and that most parents only get to dream about for their kids. (check)  [and neither one of them had to rely on an athletic scholarship to go to those UniversitiesPul-eeze!] 

Both had doors opened to them because of their access to the power people and powerful networks in their respective circles. (check)  [don't even let me start naming names from both of their Who's-who buddy lists... geesh]

Romney and Barack both have (or present) the 'picture-perfect' all-American family model: married to powerful women, without divorces and with no baby-mama drama; beautiful and well-mannered, perfect-acting kids/grandkids; own big house(s); both wrote books and make lots and lots of money; and of course they own a dog! (check)  [c'mon... it don't get much better than that, huh?]

And finally, both of them are used to/accustomed to lackey's catering to them... and being large and in charge, as both have had the privilege (all of their lives) of being groomed for the successes that they now... and have always enjoyed. (check) (check) (check)

Nope. I don't see a nickles-worth of difference in either one of them.  Compared to most lives in regular America, they both have silver spoons hanging out of their lips!

So, Romney and Obama stop bamboozling us Americans with the: "I'm more like you than my opponent is" conversation... You can't fool the electorate with that one. For, everybody knows it's hyperbole


Now if you will... just get real 'fellas, and talk about some real issues that affect us peones out here... like: jobs, gas prices, taxes, Obama/RomneyCare, how to unite this country, etc.

DOJ High Noon Reponse: 3 Pages Of Skadamarack! UPDATE: AG HOLDER'S RESPONSE FAILS TO QUELL CHATTER!!!


UPDATE:   IF THE WHITE HOUSE THOUGHT AG HOLDER'S HIGH NOON LEGALESE RESPONSE WOULD QUELL THE MASS CONDEMNATION OF PRESIDENT OBAMA FOLLOWING HIS BULLYING OF THE SUPREME COURT JUSTICES... THEY WERE DEAD WRONG ON THAT ONE!

It's in!  And... the final verdict: the White House delivers what amounts to three pages of Skadamarack-- B.S., Cow dung... 

Did anyone really think President Obama's Department of Justice would submit anything that remotely resembled a mea culpa in the aftermath of the President's Tuesday comments regarding the SCOTUS?  I mean... really?

Did anyone expect that the widely anticipated three page, single-spaced DOJ homework assignment––that was  delivered at high noon today––would actually contain verbiage resembling the following:  

"President Obama is very sorry for crossing the line and overstepping his bounds in his flagrant attempt to bully the Supreme Court into not ruling against his signature legislation: Obamacare.  The President is fully aware that he does not... nor ever will have the power or authority to proclaim what legislation is or is not constitutional or unconstitutional. 

Furthermore, President Barack Obama fully acknowledges that the Supreme Court has the Ex.Clu.Sive power to reject/strike down/rip-into-itsy bitsy shreds any and all parts of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) a.k.a. Obamacare... and the President expects they will do precisely that–– more so now after he publicly challenged and tried to humiliate them––so that the American people can still have faith that the Supreme Court is the only "standing" and legitimate law-meting (sp) body of the land.  

And, P.S. The President will never pull that kind of stunt EVAH again... so help him God!"

If anybody was holding their breath awaiting comments to that affect from this White House...  Are you blue yet???

President Barack Obama recently issued an unmistakable, in-your-face,  "I-double-dog-dare-you" threat to members of the United States Supreme Court regarding his signature legislation: ObamaCare.  

In an unprecedented move––straight from the Godfather Don Corleone mafia-family playbook––Obama told these "unelected" Justices during a recent press avail and in front of the whole nation, mind you...  that they better not even think about overturning his Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act if they know what's good for them.

[…] for years what we’ve heard is the biggest problem on the bench was judicial activism or a lack of judicial restraint — that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly-constituted and passed law. Well, this is a good example, and I’m pretty confident that this court will recognize that and not take that step.  [President Barack Obama]

Now that is high-noon, OK Corral, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday trash talkin' if I ever heard any!  As a matter of record... those are definitely street fightin' words where I come from, Mr. President.  

So, here is question on the lips of most Americans living in the heartland of this great country: 

What now.... since the once-constitutional-adjunct-professor-turned-sitting-President has officially put all  those members of the SCOTUS on "front-street" and reduced them to mere court jester-status in front of out-of-town company, i.e.  Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon?

Well... will Judges Scalia, Roberts, Alito, et. al. have the guts to overturn this controversial law and show the citizens of America that they can't be bullied?  Or ... will they too become like the complicit, main-stream media lapdogs and back-down––allowing the 'final nail' to be driven into the coffin of a nation that was once-ruled by the people... of the people... and for the people?

Not to be trite in anyway... but "the jury is out" on this one boys and girls!  We will have to wait and see.

Catholic Bishops Slam Obama Over Abortion/Birth Control... But Black Faith Leaders? *Crickets* !!!UPDATE!!!!!


Having already angered the Jews on his position to recognize a Palestinian state with borders reflecting pre-1948, and he is also on the 'outs' with Muslims––especially the leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan... now, President Barack Obama has really stepped in it BIG Time!  


Seems now that the Catholics are preparing to go to war against the President for his administration's new health care law requiring all employers, including religious institutions, to pay for birth control, sterilization and abortion drugs.

There must be a strategy to this move.  So what is it? Is Obama wanting to lose this election in November on purpose?   Is he tired of the job?  Has he had enough of DC, and, maybe in his passive/aggressive-intentional way, he is really trying to piss off those coalitions who supported him in '08... so they won't re-elect him this Fall?  What other reason could there be for Obama implementing this provocative, mandatory law eight months before a major election, where his numbers are slipping––particularly among Independents and Blue-collar white voters, many of which are Catholics?  


But the bigger question that begs to be answered regarding this law is where are the Black faith leaders and what are their positions relative to this?  

It's a fact that Black church attendees are generally more socially and morally conservative than most.  Truth be told, African Americans are not big advocates of gay marriages.  Neither are we big proponents of abortions––even though abortion numbers have been going up in the Black community over the last decade.  But, by and large, Black girls keep their out-of-wedlock babies... even if grandmama has to help in the rearing of those children.


Reproduction issues are 'major' in the Catholic religion as well. So it cannot be a surprise to the Obama administration that the head of the American Catholic League, Bill Donohue, has thrown down the gauntlet, even coming out declaring war in the streets against President Obama:
“This is going to be fought out with lawsuits, with court decisions, and, dare I say it, maybe even in the streets,” Donohue said.
So now, the eyes of America now focus on where the Black pastors stand on this health care law controversy.  Will our leaders turn a blind eye and ear to one of the most serious, significant components of this new healthcare law or will they hold fast to a cornerstone  tenet of the Christian faith: the sanctity of life? *crickets* *crickets*
